What makes a good Skyfirst pilot?

Skyfirst pilots are aviators who love to fly, who are thrilled every time they strap into the “front office.”

Of course, we look for the proper EASA qualifications and at a pilot’s prior safety record. But attracting Skyfirst pilots involves much more.

We look for aptitude and attitude, which is something we can test for and assess in a rigorous interview process.  Pilots must have a customer-focused attitude, as well as problem solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a team. Among other things, this is important when the flight mission changes suddenly due to changing customer travel needs.

Skyfirst pilots receive more training that helps them manage more complex missions. This type of training gives them the ability to operate globally with knowledge and confidence. It also allows them to execute approaches that require special authorizations and that allows them to land at lower minimums.

That means they can take you to more places you want to go and to arrive in weather that may cause others to divert.

Our approach benefits both customers and pilots, who get to fly the best equipment, train to a higher level, and can count on superb ground support.
