The secret of cost control
Maintenance, operations
Efficient maintenance requires strong relations among flight crews, our CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization), and the maintenance facilities we select worldwide.
We believe that to take good care of your aircraft you need the equivalent of a full-time technician assigned to it, and that’s what we give you. Skyfirst has more technicians than the average operator. That helps us manage scheduled maintenance and respond to technical issues that can occur at any time of day or night.
We manage with cost control in mind, but also to optimize operational availability. All of this requires planning, having sufficient technical staff in-house (which we do), and close cooperation with service centers so that any maintenance is accomplished on schedule and at a fair price.
Skyfirst maintenance directors solve problems efficiently, saving time and money. We look for cost effective solutions. We do not have a “replace and pass through the cost” mentality.
On the operations side, small expenses add up, so we monitor them closely. Think of this: each aircraft can generate up to 3,000 invoices a year. Each one is an opportunity to manage that cost with efficiency. Throughout the organization, we inculcate a mindset of managing costs as if we were spending our own money rather than the owner’s. At Skyfirst, the interest of the owner always comes first.
Revenue management
The second means of financial management is to carefully manage charter revenue. We are more selective in the charters we accept, which typically are longer range and maximize profits. We would not sell a flight that is not in the interest of the owner, even if Skyfirst loses a revenue opportunity for itself. In the end, this policy results in higher margins that benefit both owners and Skyfirst. It’s a win-win scenario.
The bottom line
The net result is lower operating cost and higher revenue. Owners will find that year in and year out they spend less to operate their aircraft. In fact (and we can back it up with case histories), it’s possible they will spend nothing at all for the operation of the aircraft. That is Next Level.
